Awesome game, bad tools
Today I playtested. Damn my game is fun; I played for about 5 hours today and I still want to play some more.
In-between games I fiddled with the costs of things in the store. I think there's still some room for more tweaking, but it is much better than before I started today.
Another thing I was planning on doing today was another level or two. Unfortunately, the tool I made to help make levels has decided to not work in Windows 7. I guess I'll make up a virtual PC running XP to see if I can get it to run in there.
But that is for tomorrow! Now it's sleep time!

It's been a long time...
After a hectic time at work (which was totally worth it), I now have some time to work on the game again.
And I'm going to chronicle it!
A nice ease back into it tonight, a few fixes that have needed to be done for a while are now fixed!
- Quitting the game from the main menu will bring up a confirmation first.
- Text at the bottom of the shop screen will now read "Continue" if being displayed between levels.
- Given new players 3 times more missiles, making the start easier (now no one has a reason to die on the first level). Now most players should be able to make it a fair way into level two on the first play through.
- Some small tweaks and fixes.
Also, put S.H.M.U.P into gameproducer.net's Indie Xmas campaign. That means I now have a hard dead line of December 1st to actually get the game finished.
